Financial support available to you

We understand that financing your education is a significant consideration. Here's a full breakdown of the support that may be available to you.

Tuition Fee Loan

Covers the full cost of your course fees and is paid directly to your university or college. No upfront payments required.

Maintenance Loan

Designed to assist with essential living costs, including accommodation, food, study materials, and day-to-day expenses. Awards depend on household income and study location, with funds deposited regularly.

Parent Learning Allowance

A non-repayable grant for students supporting dependent children, helping offset family-related study costs.

Adult Dependant Grant

If you are financially responsible for another adult, such as a partner, you may be eligible for the Adult Dependant Grant. This grant requires no repayment.

Special Support Grant

Available to students in specific circumstances, including single parents and those receiving Personal Independence Payment (PIP). Non-repayable and doesn't affect other benefits.

Childcare Grant

Covers up to 85% of registered childcare expenses, with payments directed to providers.

Disabled Students' Allowances (DSA)

Supports students with disabilities through specialist equipment, non-medical helpers, and additional travel costs.

Eligibility

Do you qualify?

  • Have been ordinarily resident in the UK for a minimum of three years prior to the start of the course.
  • Hold British citizenship, EU settled status, Indefinite Leave to Remain, or recognised refugee status.
  • Be enrolled on an eligible course at an approved UK institution.
  • Not have previously completed a qualification at the same or higher level.
